What does a Shopify page audit actually check?

Page Checkup runs over 20 structural and content checks on any saved page, plus 8 AI checks on the rendered page. Three of the five groups need no traffic at all.

Does the page open with a hero? Is there an H1, and is it in the first section? Do the images have alt text? Is there a price next to the buy button?

FAQs

Is a PageFly page audit really free?

Yes. Page Checkup is available on every PageFly plan, including the Free plan. The first scan of any page is free. Applying some fixes uses credits.

What does a fix cost?

Most one-click fixes cost 5 credits. Image compression costs nothing at all - it is included in every plan.

Does the page audit need traffic to work?

No. The structure and content checks run on any saved page, even one published five minutes ago. The behavior and benchmark checks need visitors first.

If a page scores 100, will it convert?

No. Page Checkup measures a fixed list of things. A page can pass every one of them and still not sell. The score is a list of problems ruled out, not a forecast.

Will Page Checkup change a page without asking?

No. Nothing changes until the merchant clicks. Fixes are applied one at a time, and a fix that inserts a new section asks the merchant to pick a template first.
