Hi There,
Richard here from the PageFly team! We're excited to announce the release of PageFly version 4.15.0! This update introduces several key enhancements designed to boost your store’s performance and improve the overall user experience.
From new loading settings for social and video elements to significant improvements in the Tab element and media management, this update is packed with features that will help you build even better pages. Let’s dive into the details of what’s new in PageFly 4.15.0.
Improve Loading Setting for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter Social Elements
In this update, we’ve added a new “Content Loading” setting to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter social elements to help you control when these elements load on your pages.

- Lazy Loading: Social elements will only load when they enter the user's viewport. It will need some seconds to load the content.
- Standard Loading: This setting loads social elements as the page loads, improving the user experience with immediate content visibility.
Improve Loading Setting for YouTube, Vimeo, and HTML Video Elements
Similar to social elements, we’ve introduced a “Content Loading” setting for YouTube, Vimeo, and HTML video elements to enhance performance.
Old Version
New Version
- Lazy Loading: Videos will only load when they enter the user’s viewport. It will need some seconds to load the video.
- Standard Loading: Videos load as the page loads, providing a seamless viewing experience for your visitors.
Improve Tabs Element
The Tab element has undergone significant optimization in this update, focusing on reducing layout shifts and improving loading speed in live view.
- Header Layout Improvements: We’ve added two new header layout options: ‘Scrolling’ and ‘Dropdown’, offering more flexibility in how your tabs are displayed.
- Menu Width Configuration: A new parameter has been added to allow you to configure the width of Tab headers when they are positioned on the Left or Right.
- Text Truncation in Dropdown Layout: When using the Dropdown layout, long Tab headers will now be automatically truncated to ensure a clean and organized appearance.
- Auto-Scroll for Dropdown Layout: In live view, if the Tab element is at the bottom of the page, clicking the dropdown button will automatically scroll the element upwards, fully displaying the menu for easy selection.
- Default Layout Option for Devices: We’ve added a default layout option for different devices to ensure optimal viewing experiences across all platforms.
With desktop and laptop devices, the headers layout of the tabs element auto-set as Wrap
With tablet and mobile devices, the headers layout of the tabs element auto-set as Scrolling
Improve the Media Manager
We’ve made several enhancements to the Media Manager, improving how you work with images and videos across your site.
- Parameter Updates: We’ve updated the parameters associated with the media manager feature for elements such as image elements, HTML videos, and background images for all elements.
Old Version
With the old version, you can only choose the image you uploaded on Shopify or upload a new image to use.
New Version
With the new version, besides choosing the uploaded images, you can choose free images from Shopify's free source.
- Image Selection Modal: The image selection modal has been updated and now integrates with Shopify’s free image source, making it easier to find and use high-quality images for your site.
Improve Blog Post Page Setting
To streamline the Blog Post page settings, we’ve removed outdated options and introduced new elements to improve functionality.
- Settings Removal: Options related to the blog post page in the page settings have been removed.
- With the blog post page settings (comments, tags, etc.) already enabled, a notification will inform users to use the new elements instead of these settings. These settings will be removed after the page is saved.
- For blog post pages that haven't used these settings, they will be removed automatically.
New Mechanism for Major Updates and Maintenance Mode
To ensure a smooth experience during major updates, we’ve implemented a new mechanism to notify users and enable maintenance mode for the app.
- Phase 1 - Before Maintenance: Users will receive a notification popup on their browser, warning of upcoming maintenance. This will advise them to save their current tasks and exit the app.
- Phase 2 - During Maintenance: The app will be disabled during the release period, preventing customers from accessing the app until the update is complete.
